Locally Run Nets

George, KP2G, runs the Caribbean Cocktail and Weather Net every day except Sunday, at 4:30PM (2030Z), on 7.086 MHz lower sideband. This is a popular "gatthering place" for maritime mobile stations from the Southern Bahamas, through the island chain down to South America and west to the Canal. George provides very comprehensive weather information and other items of interest to folks in the area. It should be noted that the only U.S. licensed stations that may check into this net are those below the 20th parallel where the U.S. phone band is extended from 7.075 MHz to 7.100 MHz. Also, at 6:40AM (1040Z) George KP2G runs a weather net on the St. John repeater (146.63 MHz, minus offset) providing weather for the local area.
